Microchipping is a relatively quick procedure that can be performed during a vet consultation/vaccination, with a nurse or during a surgical procedure.

It is strongly advisable that all pets are microchipped, unless they meet exemption criteria, as it will increase your chances of finding a lost pet. Your pet’s microchip number will be entered into our clinic wide database and a certificate will be issued which can be presented to the local council for registration.

In addition, we recommend registering your pet with the New Zealand Companion Animal register which is a nation-wide database.
