Small Animal Veterinarian

2 positions – full time and part time

We are looking for small animal veterinarians with a good range of clinical skills who are keen to give things a go.

We are a truly mixed practice which means there is a great caseload for a small animal vet. Pets and working dogs ensure an interesting range of medical and surgical work.

South Wairarapa Veterinary Services has four clinics, Martinborough, Featherston, Carterton and Masterton. We have 15 vets with a diverse range of skills and interests making up a fantastic team. We have a new facility in Masterton and a new development is in progress for our Carterton clinic. We support our veterinarians to develop their passions and add value to our business. Veterinary Technician/Equine Support Staff position

South Wairarapa Vets is looking for an equine veterinary assistant/technician/nurse.

Come and join a young, vibrant, progressive team in the heart of the Wairarapa. Here is an opportunity to work with some fantastic equine vets within a large mixed practice. We are looking for an applicant to assist in all aspects of our equine business, starting within our existing Masterton clinic and then progressing to help run an in house equine facility in Carterton.

Experience in equine husbandry and good horse handling skills are essential. You will require a reasonable level of physical fitness.

We are looking for a positive, friendly, outgoing person with good communication skills. We are after a team player with initiative.

This will be a varied role. Duties will range from the running of in house stabling facilities to assisting veterinarians with all aspects of their work. There will be a clinical and administrative side to the role. Computer, phone, and record keeping skills are essential.

The position will be full time with some on call and after hours work as required.

Formal qualifications will strengthen your application.
